Facundo,
Not happy I´m using MM? Ever tried it?
> you are using a Mac with an emulator
Yes, almost. MagiC is no emulator, it is a OS
running on top of another os... Weird, but true.
> I don't like that idea.... it's just not Atari.
Agree. But it´s the fastest substitute around
so far, and it runs in almost any res you want.
Besides, those old MACs are almost for free,
so why not? At least ´til we have something
better. I killed my Falc (accident) so I´m
glad I had these machines around...
-Just pity they won´t run Cubase Audio. ;)

I know that feeling... Happened to me too.
-If it had been worth it, but obviously not.

O´yea? But not MagiCMAC?
Emulation slows things down, I don´t like that.

I like that idea too, but watch this;

Boy, I´ve spent some loong nights starring at
my Quadra, realising how much I would have to
change. It doesn´t have SDRAM for a start,
and the motherboard will not work above, say,
45-50MHZ. And the MAC have some really weird
interfaces, like the serial printer port, and
no paralell port at all... It´s too much work
to be worth it. Better off doing a MOBO from
scratch, with everything we want on it, then.
But the kit idea... Selling it as a DIYS kit
would bring the price down even more, but do
everyone have enough soldering skills to get
the thing together? A hazard indeed, I think.
