I am not a real pro in this, but I think this might work,
if you find out, where the vlm gets the sound channels
and bring another signal to this point. Of course
you should use a switch between cd and 'other' signal.
If you have a atai falcn, you can aso use whip!, this is
a vlm for the falcon030 andyou can connet evey input you want ;-)
