I agree with you on all point except one, the PCI (I bet you saw that coming).

PCI is not a PC idea, I have seen them in a number of machine that do not have an Intel chips including printers.

That video card for the Falcon that uses a PCI slot already has drivers (FVDI), surely that would be most of the project done. The PCI upgrade may also have other slot buggered onto it for network and sound cards, etc (don't know how good they will be)

The CTT060 has the ablility for an add-on PCI slot.

Will you machine have SCSI or IDE on board?

What would you have as a "bus" if not PCI, ISA? Rememeber one of the big problems that the Ataris have is the lack of good standard bus slots. Surly you are not thinking VME?

USB enables external devices but no BUS slots = non upgradable machine.
