I also have an Atari 800 and I also have the original power supply.

Output voltage is 9 V AC !
max. current load is 3 A

You should consider that the output
of power supply is still AC, since
the Atari 800 has the electric rectifier
inside itself.

If you can't find a suitable one, try eBay
or you can buy an original one from www.myatari.com in US. They also have
power supplies for 230 V.
