Sounds pretty hazardous(?) indeed...
I have slaugthered more peripherals than I can remember,
(faxes, printers, scanners, yanameit)
and I´ve found 68K & 56K are represented in
a big majority of them. Now, why can that be?
Of course, one good reason should be price,
but they are more reliable than everything
else, cant argu against that.
One major advantage with 68K, vs x86:
Separate BUSes! x86 multiplexes DATA/ADR bus!
(just ONE of the reasons for x86 to take
megacycles just to do one instruction)
