Yes, the Simm Slots on the AWE are for SoundFonts... My old AWE32 has them, but no IDE, on the other hand, the SB16 ISA has the IDE, and these two work great together.
I took my RAM out and messed with it for a while, and there was no difference in the midi sound, so I would say its the same as yours... I do have a soundfont just for the AWE32/64 here if you want it, but I dont have a program to store it onto the AWE though?
Anyway, where was we?
CAF Multitasking? Yeah, I have to shutdown just to reboot into that other thing... What was it now? oh yeah TOS! so I can use CuBase at all! - Yup, Milan has its own version of what it calls TOS though, and I had it on that, but I can say that CuBase DOES work under Geneva, although I dont know just how well supported Geneva is? - I have it, but its purely a novelty for me ( like mint is ) as I have REAL Power with Magic ( hehe )
Dont have the software?
Yup again, I have always said that the hardware is there, but the software to push it, has not actualyl been "Pushing it" and so, it leads to the fact that the hardware is therefore not really being developed enough ( Not really true, but you see what I mean? )
Cant take any chances?
No, bloody hell ofcourse we need the DSP. We need 100% compatibility, because lets be honest, 99% compat. and what will happen? the software will need that 1%, and what have you got? another dead project thats what
200mhz Videl?
Nice
