It's not *even* worth it.
What you might have seen (Alex), is a machine with an Overscan device (Autoswitch Overscan) that increases the resolution of low, med and Hi rez screens (I think in Hi Rez it goes to like, 768x480) and is switchable, but it doesn't work on an STE or TT (although I think there was a TT specific version). I think that changes the timing as well so the screen area is bigger (cuz it'd be way tiny on a 12" SM124!!)
Although I've never lost anyone through electrocution (sorry to hear about that, F Rak), I did give myself a jolt messing around with a Mac Classic one time (and I so very nearly died myself it's untrue) so I get anxious now whenever I see a CRT tube!! That's why I like laptops so much, LCDs are safer!!!
