Wrong:
Itīs NOT my project, the idea is that we ALL
should take part in it. Like this fellow who
offered to do this 200MHZ VIDEL for example.
Iīve said it before...Every idea is welcomed,
as long as it donīt jeopardize compatibility!
Grab the opportunity -Make part of the TOSter!

Hey,Wonīt that VIDEL beat your pci card, btw?
At least together with that DSP56309, doing
100MIPS! (...and six channels of DMA)
the SDRAM should cope with the fast gfx, no?
Itīs ok, youīll HAVE the pci. :o/
But the MB will be running even with empty slots. :oD
No other way to do this. TP is perfectly right.
I think he meant that the 309 isnīt compliant
with the 56001A? Thatīs right, I have to admit.
Falconīs DSP is running in 8 bit mode.
Now, the 309 has 2 modes: 24 bit & 16 bit...
Weīre looking into this right now.
Think the best solution should be to use an
bus expander... Something like the UDS/LDS
MUXing in the ST, just haveing two registers
reading two bytes, and then pass it on to the
DSP, in parallel. (=16bit) Any better ideas?
(ok, 3 registers then, for 24 bit)
That feature can naturally be by-passed later
when/if some fullblown softs shows...
But of course, we could always patch all existing softs instead? ;)
