Sounds like the Sircam virus. On my PC, I use Linux and PINE so I'm laughing at any viruses. On my ST and TT I'm still laughing at viruses.

Why are these virus-ridden Windows machines so bloody popular? Yet another reason to use Ataris -- few, if any, viruses!

For anyone with a PC, I reccommend downloading a recent virus scanner and avoid MS Outlook for e-mail.
