Have you simply connected speakers to the ports, of are you using an Amp of some kind?
I know it may sound a silly question, but the output from your TTs ports are set to a very low level that needs to be bumped up by using an Amplifier.
You might just be able to make out keyclicks or the system bell without an amp, and maybe even SoundChip Music, but very quietly.
You do however say that you want CD Audio!
Are you wanting the CD Audio to come out of the TTs ports?
As far as I am aware, the Atari does NOT do that, so use the headphone socket on the CDROM itself, failing that, you can easily ( Depending on your CDROM Drive of course ) make up a connection to go from the back of the CDROM to the Amp.
