For a brief moment I got quite excited about it. The frequent crashes that I was having under all previous versions of windows I thought might be a thing of the past. But now my blood is boiling too...
M$ have managed to introduce a new "random reboot" feature. Yes folks, no more blue screens of death, now your computer just reboots.. any time of day or night.. you might not even be using it! How wonderful is that?. And it costs extra too.
Word is there are issues with VIA drivers.. however they have this new 'signed' driver system.. and I've been using them so it makes me doubly pissed.. It seems to be happening more and more now.
After having shelled out a bunch of $ for my new 1.4GHz KT266 DDR Thunderbird kit I'm feeling really pissed. Not only that but it should come with a vacuum connection its got so many fans in it. Oh the noise is the other thing..
How Fu^%ing hard can it be to create an OS where AT LEAST the kernal can stay up no matter what? How long have MS been developing NT? 10 years? I've been moving over to Slackware Linux and NetBSD for ages now.. this looks like it might be the final straw. I really hate Apple.. I can't go there. A Sun Blade machine maybe an option....
I'm getting to the point where I'm absolutely pissed with the whole thing... my laptop just got up and died in the ass while I was looking at it last week... not even touching it.
If these things were a car I would have dumped them ages ago.
