As Adam have already pointed out, it's NEWFATFS. But this does not apply to CD-ROM drives, since they don't use the FAT filesystem. So you can try to enable NEWFATFS on your CD-ROM, but nothing will happen.

This is the problem. AFAIK there is no XFS-driver in Extendos, only old-style DOS-drivers. You need a proper XFS (Spin! is really the only alternative) under MiNT, anything else will most likely not work, and probably cause these problems "lost" have.
So, if "lost" wants to use his current Extendos-setup, use TOS or MagiC. If he wants to use MiNT, then install Spin!
