I think the idea of attempting to ban the most popular browser is a very lame. First off, there's nothing wrong with IE. It works better than any other browser I know of. Besides, as Facundo pointed out, why would you want to restrict potential helpers/coders from accessing the new site? I would certainly be pissed because IE is the only browser I have at work and I would definately not download another one just to visit your site.
