Not on my TT, or any of my ST's, and not on the Milan they are not!
Under MiNT, I can perhaps run 3 or 4 programs at a time, and only then if they are not time wasters, such as word processors, and so on, but getting the system to do anythign will kill the speed enough so that I cannot even top windows without waiting for a few seconds...
under Magic, I can fill up the RAM before I get that bad - which is usually 12-15 programs.
I can compress 4 LZH Archives, and alphabetically sort out the word in a a 4MB DOC at the same time, and it still runs faster than MiNT!
