I was thinking about how it was kind of a
bad test as well. Since if you compare
Mac applications on a 68040 and a 75mzh
601e you will notice that the 040 is faster.
Also you need to consider that the machines
that came with a 75 mhz 601e as the stock
CPU are generally regarded as dogs in the
mac world and is part of the reason they are
available for next to nothing.
