Sorry, I made a liīl mistake about the ppc.
Itīs a 603e not 601e, still 75MHZ tho...

I have this NUBUS CPU card with a 601e on it,
but have never tried to use it in any 68K MAC.
Why slow a fast machine down?? :o)

> this comparison is unfair...

I donīt know? The P5200 emulates a 17MHZ 020,
and even MAC OS progs are slower on the ppc.
Tho the differences ARE bigger under MagiC.

> the original 68k emulation of Apple is bad.

Yes indeed. ALL emulation is bad, and thatīs
one of all the reasons the TOSīter stays 68K.
ok, I found those G3/G4 pci cards, but I donīt
know how much the emulation will slow them down?

Anyway, if MIPS drops down to say, 75%,
I guess itīs no disaster? The 16MHZ/16bit Falc
is more powerful than a 120MHZ ī486DX4,
(with a liīl help from the DSP)
so imagine what a 500MHZ/32bit TOS machine can do!
(in combination with a 100MIPS DSP:)

Those cards requires some better emulation
routines than Appleīs though, Iīm aware of that,
but I canīt write them... Wonder who can do that?
