Use a program like Sebra (should be easy to find, try Crawly Crypt on the web), it puts your ST into high res mode and simulates 640x400 in a 640x200 (med res) screen using shades of grey. It looks quite good, but isn't useful for working (recording) in CuBase because it takes up too much CPU time...but it will work fine just to export your .ALL files to .MID files.

In fact, just for converting, Cubase runs in Medium res, it will ask if you want to use VDI or Quick, either will be fine. Just plug your Atari into a TV and off you go...
