Well...
I donīt understand why the heck everyone must
start drivvling intel all the time?? It has
nothing at all to do with our platform, OR??

No, really. I need to read out a certain CPUs
clock-2-MIPS ratio performance, thatīs all.
Thought it would be nice if I got to know at
least a little about what Iīm doing here. (?)
It would also be a great help, since I wonīt
settle with anything less than perfection. ;)
I just recieved a new benchmark program, by
email,(thanx pal) called Zbench. It can show
both MIPS and this "BogoMIPS" whatever it is?
Unfortunately, the program has more bugs than
my neighbourīs poodle, and so it shows:...
MIPS: 9.4 (****I DONīT BELIEVE THAT!!****)
BogoMIPS: 31.07 (what IS this "Bogo"??)
...for a 68RC040 running at 50MHZ. I bet this
is a BETAversion or something. anyway, if I
try to tell it that it IS running on a 040,
it just tells me to "BUY A FPU!"...hmmm...
And then it happily runs the FPU test, hehe.
If I try to run the CPU test, it craches!
But it tells me in the "sysinfo" page, that
it IS a 040, BUT that itīs running at 47MHZ!!
(Techtool verifyed the 50MHZ clock, tho)
And on the same page it says "FPU: Absent"!
(The FPU passed ALL tests in Techtool)
OK, itīs v0.9. I hope v1.0 will work better.
I think this is a very nice program, and if
all these bugs were fixed, it can be the best
benchmark app on our platform. No doubt.

...Well, one out of two is not too bad... ;)
What I mean is, that yes, peeseeīs have very
much higher clock frequences for some reason,
BUT NOPE! their MIPS figures is FAAAR lesser!
(guess why I donīt waste time on them?:)
