Bus accelerators aren't that good TBH, well not my
Phantom. With it at 50Mhz I have serious DMA
problems. So, I tried many different clock
patches and after losing all data on my SCSI
zip drive the one supplied with the Phantom
seemed to be the best. The only way to make
it stable is to use it at old speed which I do
if I play around with DMA intensive tasks.
I think the best solution is to use it at
about 40MHz by switching oscillator. It wasn't
Magic either, it does the same under
TOS as well.
With the Phantom NVDI won't print in turbo mode
on my Epson Stylus and I get lines on the
screen (is mentioned in docs if you use certain
memory cards).
What confuses me is why the Nemesis and CT1 are so
much more complex in design to the Phantom, maybe
they're more complex to get good stability?
