Hey, Microsoft always knew that if Windows would spread widely enough, nobody will have a chance in future to choose another OS.
That's why Windows never had a good protection.
Win95 is the most horrifying example:
When you had entered a wrong code while installing it, you got a little box saying:
"wrong registration code" coming along with three buttons:
"retry", "exit" and: "IGNORE"!! and when you selected "ignore" the installation went on without any complaints...
Just imagine, Windows had ever had a good protection and only very few cracks would have been spread:
What would PC-users use today? Perhaps OS/2 or Linux, but surely or Windows...
And now let me enjoy the "bill getting cakes into his face" MPEG like I do every day twice a day...
