Completely off the biol here, but both my parents are nutters in learning new languages( My mother used to teach Latin,then taught german and french ) My father started to learn russian, and now he is on a weird celtic job learning to speak extinct british languages ( Dotn ask - he just has too much time onhis hands )
Anyway, the similarities between cornish, and welsh in striking and yet also completely different ( cornish is very close to what the whole of england used to speak before english developed )
