1084st? you mean 1084s, the 1084 is mono so at least the sound circuits would be different. These are my experiences:They get cold solder faults if you sfift them about i.e play st,falcon and then take into kitchen to watch t.v, any monitor with a line across front tube problems :-( and ouch expensive to fix, I found that some components in 1084 seem to melt and short motherboard of said monitor-why??? and repairing needs to take account they are old and better to get another second hand as spare close to 2nd hand price.
