> "emulating an '040 Atari"
Dunno why I expected something like that?
Yes, yet another emulator is probably exactly
what the Atari world would prior now, since
there already are way too many decent computers
around, capable of running Atari softwares.
Who want a real computer when we can emulate?
(heck, sarcastic again... Shoot me)
But the idea could be improved. An emulator
running on a G4, alone, without MAC OS, that
would certainly be a different experience...
Tell you what, I have more 68040īs than
I will ever need. I could donate a couple
of real ones so you wonīt have to emulate. :)

No???

> was talking about earlier...
Well, get used to it.
Itīs no myth, itīs reality.
> numbers of 3000-5000 (Dhrystone VAX)
> MIPS for the latest Intel
*That* is "sillyness, inaccurate, stupid".
(your own words. Tho, here they are relevant)
If you want to believe it, thatīs your problem.
Though do not try to make anyone else do.
People with little knowledge about hardware
could be fooled into similar illusions.
> you are better off without the 68882.
Eh, yes we know that, thank you. ;)
Just fun to see your desperate reactions.
You may believe it or not, but sometimes we
enjoy seeing pathetic discussions like that...
BTW, you are better off without emulation.:o)
(simple trueth mate, simple trueth.)
> a 32 bit CPU with a 16 bit IO bus.
Yes, or even eight...
> ..needs to connect to the Falcon..
Of course.
> ..things slow down to a crawl
> when you access the Falcon..
Yes I noticed that. My Falc came with some
homebuilt AB duplication, which made me so
disappointed so I sold it within a week.
They used that 040 to replace the 020 in a
MAC LC, mostly to tease, and yes, I must say
that the performance improvement of that LC
really impressed! I tried Magic on it, and YESS!!!
Only difference: the LC has full 32bit buses.

> ...wishful thinking or plain ignorance.
Yes, those are words that shouldnīt be used
by someone who believes in gigamips intels
or emulation... :o) *LOL* *twice*
> I actually enjoy these kinds of things. ;-)
SO DO WE mate. So do we, hehehe :o))
> I will try to restrain myself from from
> talking about the 'hacking' of driver dll:s
Yes, do that. Two different groups (not in
Sweden of course) has already reported that
they have done it before. :-O We can expect
a couple of fully working packages, soon...
Meanwhile, the "bugging" of the serial was
also an entertaining success. We have fun.
Things ARE really not that impossible,
as you obviously keep on thinking, mate.
Itīs 2002, not ī87. Maybe time to īwakieī?
