Hi,
OK, beforeI read all that response so far, I will
give you my opinion about that :-)
Atari-soft is definately -not- slow.
Let some Windows-soft run at 16 MHz and you can see
what I mean (or even not...).
Atari software is quite compact, but uses more
diskspace than it should.
The reason for this is that many program use
several libraries just too keep compability with
single-TOS.
It's about time multitasking becomes standard on our machines.
The OS? Oh, yes, I think it's wasted work.
2 different OS of which one has two different AES systems.
And that's on the smallest platform there is.
It's just the same as the hardware-problem:
With R.Czuba, the Milan- and the Medusa-Team we have
many absloutely great guys here - why the hell
don't they work together on one project?!
Or browsers: How many have there been? How many usable ones
are left today? Not a single one if you'd ask me.
And Highwire will take months until there will
finally be a product which may perhaps let me
kick CAB into the trash-can...
Things could be better than they are.
You are so right...
