Few points, I wont go into details...
NVDI is only marginally faster than standard Magic on your Stacy???
I get nearly 3 times better performance on all my machines. ( I have all except Falcon now ) Maybe its because the Stacy being the laptop style, and has very slow display anyway?? - Which as far as I am aware, it does compared to Real ST High - so, anybody care to comment on that?
My previous stuff with MiNT - You are offering help???
Ok, I am definitely up for that, how can you help me?
Do you want me to do up a MiNT Setup onto a HD, and send it to you? would it be easier if I sent you a CDROM istead? - it would be cheaper, and you wont have to return that!
Give me an email if you're up for it.
( gaggin' fr'it lads )
KOBOLD
No, I am not saying to make a full filesystem, thats not what I mean, I just mean that having the basic COPY/MOVE/DELETE stuff would surely make things far better, of course, I am sure that the way it does this, will not be useful for loading and saving data, or maybe they can be re-worked to go halfway? at least surely there must be some better way to get a faster Disk access?
ext2fs & TOS
Erm, well, erm, but, but....
I had to laugh at that one- its so stupid, and yet completely true!
Dont you think this is all going a little OTT now though?
I simply meant that rather than the O/S being written in C, what if it was re-done in Assem, with the bugs fixed, then it would be faster, and I still say it would, and then with the size being a little smaller, then perhaps certain routines such as NVDI and/or Kobold can be included maybe?
