Instead of a new clone.. what about making hardware products to help support current users?
Like a nice board that can plug in PCI cards to use on any Atari? Or a PCI to VME adaptor so people can use the cheap PC Ethernet and video cards?
These are projects that are currently needed and would help out alot. I know here in the states I can have 2 small PCB's made for a reasonable price, but I'd need the layout files to have them create. I know of a open source ethernet adaptor that would be a nice project!

GokMasE is working hard on trying to get "orphaned" software released as open source in the hope that current platform supporters can continue to develop them.
Another project in the works is the ATSF - Atari/TOS Software Foundation. This is from the xTOS group. They would like to purchase commercial software and have it developed. For a much better explaination.. visit the www.xtos.de site
