I went and bought DevPacDSPsome time ago... Quite sometime actually, just when it came out, and it was not untilI had actuallygot it, that I realised I didt actually have a DSP!!
I got my money back thankfully, but I now wish I had kept hold of it.
Agreed on the code, but its not that bad. All chips have their owm shitty little "Features" or ways to program them properly, the DSP is just VERY much more complex really ( Yeah - As if I know just from looking at some code )
I stopped programming on October 8th.
I also stopped writtig music on this very same date too!
It was not a deliberate thing, but I had a accident, and I have lost most of the use of my left arm, which stoppede me playing instruments properly, and I have also hadbrain dammage, although, I think I have probably always had that one ( hehe )
When I came out of hospital, I sat at my TT for about 4 hours wondering what the hell I do with it... Not funny, and it sort of put me off... I have never managed to get back into it half as seriously as I used to.
I have also tried HiSoft C, its not too bad, and yes, it gives me some problems on the TT too!
One thing I do want to get hold of is a good Pascal compiler... I have personal Pascal, whichhates large HD's so thats out, and I have MegaMax Modulla II, but I dont like it all that much despite its obvious power.
Funnily enough, just last week, I wasasked to write some routines for a friend, and I have been using HiSoft Basic, and QBasic to do them, and I have not lost the nonse for stupid shitty things, just anything bigger than a page where I cannot see the code, I lose it.
