> So, what can I say?
First I must say that the talk about 'PC nerd' is actually about as far from the truth as you can get regarding me.
I totally detest the x86 architecture, not to mention Microsoft. Unfortunately, I've been forced to face the price/performance reality (got my first PC 5-6 years ago or so), but I still stay away from Win-PC's whenever I can, and do 95% of my (non-work) programming on my Falcon.

'sillyness' is such a bad word?

I've stated the reasons several times:
- Make you understand that several things you were proposing were bad ideas. I'm glad to hear you've come to agree with me on a few of those.
- Clarify for less knowledgable people that several things you said were uninformed or plain wrong.
Both worthy reasons in my opinion.

Have not seen anything to back off from, sorry. Would gladly do so if you could point something out (that is indeed 'back-offable').

It was not about like or not like.
Since I would not buy a new TOS compatible computer, I don't really care what is put in them.
I do care about getting the facts straight, though. In this particular case, I also tried to help you out by trying to make you understand that you were doing the 'wrong' thing.

I don't know which thread you might have been reading. I just looked through all my messages again, and more than 90% of it was straight statements of facts (among which I've yet to discover an error). Could not see anything I would have considered childish in there.

The truth is out there, but sometimes it also needs to be told.
;-)
> OK, letīs hope that incident is over with,
Well, that is up to you.

Please do.
