So, you miss out on SCSI, LAN, joystick/analogue ports, Microphone input, MIDI, RF output to TV, ROM interface. Sound-in and MIDI can be added with cards (but not all at once).
Now come on. Some of these Falcon ports are really worthless. You don't really miss out on LAN since it is just a serial port. And the ROM interface is similar to a proprietary expansion, only crappy. I use mine for ethernet (using a ROM-Port adapter), but what else is it good for other than clock cartridges and dongles?
I will say that the Falcon does destroy most computers in terms of audio capabilities, though. So that comparison is fair.
Who's familiar with the ARM family of processors? I don't really know them, but I'd assume they'd beat the pants off an '030 at identical clock speeds, especially at floating point operations. But I'm guessing. The 68k series was fast at some things, but, from what I've read, leaves a lot to be desired in floating point performance (even with the FPU). when compared to other popular CISC chips such as the x86 line. I would assume the RISC ARM could beat it. But maybe I'm wrong ;-)
