I was going to make this point, maybe not in the same way.
I was going to say that some code for a RISC may need many more instructions than on a CISC.
But on the flip side a RISC can do some things in much quicker as the CISC may not have any better instructions.
You can not trust any benchmark as they are simply not far, the best thing is in real life use. This only compears the computer in total (OS, RAM, Chipset, CPU, etc), we know this from compearing apps under MINT and Magic.
One should also remember that when we look at these comparison tables of speed, the high end G4 compeating with a high end PIII is probably looks similar, but they are not running anywere near as fast in Mhz.
