Hello,

texturemapping in ST-low ist really
slow. Vroom makes profit of the
planar organisation of the screen -
this is ideal for filling flat
polygons really fast with one color.
Texturemapping is very difficult in
this screen mode, because a single pixel
can not be accessed individually.
I assume that texture mapping in ST-low
is not faster than in hicolor - but would
look crap. :-/

Maybe Vroom could be rewritten for the
use of the falcon hicolor mode and
using fast (maybe DSP) texturing
routines. Definitelly you will need an
accellerator to play it.

It would be really cool if you managed
it to get the sources of Vroom. I really
like to take a look at it :)

Greetings,
Norman
