Short answer; NO
Long answer; Yes with a but!
A DVD drive simply reads the data from the DVD disk. By that I mean that a DVD can contain much more than just a movie.
To view a DVD movies that drive woudl read the data form the disk and then it would need to be decoded (in h/w or s/w) to show the movie.
One can connect a DVD to an ST and it will find/detect it, etc, etc but there is no software to read the "file system" as it were.
Seeing as the ST is unable to play DVDs by a long shot, I do not think there will be any drivers made.
However, if development of PCI adaptors continues and with the CT60, etc, etc I imagine it is possible to use a graphics card with a DVD decoder on board.
