Umm, yeah the powersupply should be as clean
as possible too. A extra filter may do some
good I think? A couple of coils/capacitors,
and then a separate wire directly to the big
main capacitor (C 147) on the MOBO. Only way
to get a cleaner voltage then, would be to
use a battery to power the RAM, hehe. ;)
Speaking of timing, the Phantom is really a
very simple construction, and it uses standard
74F TTL chips. These are fast enough, but maybe
not too exact when it comes to timings(skew),
Which could affect the RAMīs function, too?
Would be interesting to have a look at the
signals with a good logic analyzer...
