hi, im still using atari for music...
if you have an STe and Muhbase,
check out the E.P.S.S , a nice sampler
"plug in", you can run together with ya
sequenzer(you can get it from the DeadHacker
Society-Homepage).You also can use Five to
Five (525) for converting samples from borin
DOSenWAV to cool 8bit sound.
for manipulate samples i can recommend you
Squash it (from electric Cow homepage) or
Sound Merlin (sorry don`t know where toget, i got it from an old PD-Disk)
all proggys are free/shareware or so...
