Hi Tin,
Well, I had the same idea for many months... the problem is:
On wich port should the cable be connected? I mean, the SIO2PC cable goes to the serial port of the PC, it's fast enough for the 8bit machine but it's NOT fast enough for the ST. So.... perhaps the parallel, I don't know...
Then you have the software problem... the most close thing I ever found is GhostLink, a software wich lets you connect the ST to the serial port of the PC and access to the files on the PC hdd in a very transparent way... the problem is that you cannot execute programs from a Ghost drive... and it's very slow too...
So, perhaps making some kind of cable wich plugs to the HDD port of the Atari and to the parallel port of the PC would be the solution? I dont know if thats possible... some genious programmer should do all the software routines to emulate a real hard drive from the PC.....
Well, it's gettting too late round here and perhaps I said many stupid things.... I'll bettter wait for other suggestions :)
