I don't know about your Falcon, but mine and every other Falcon I've seen has a rectangular hole for the floppy... Any PC floppy will fit without any modifications, as long as it has a jumper to select ID.

I've replaced the floppy in both my Falcon and TT with Sony drives, model MPF920-E. The oldest one has ID-jumpers, the newest doesn't. However, it can easily be modified if needed.
