Indeed XC instead of MC indicates an early production run.

However, about the EC, it means that the processor is without both MMU and FPU. I'm not sure if the CT60 will handle it ?

The XC68EC060RC60 chips that Zcuba are (were?) selling are misprinted chips, they are in fact full (with MMKU/FPU), just with the wrong label.
