Hi,
the 060 is a more advanced than the 040. This is:
- faster instruction execution times
- bigger chaches (040: 2*4Kb; 060: 2*8Kb)
- Branch-Prediction
- 2 instead of 1 Int-Pipelines
- 10 insted 6 stage-pipeline


To make it short, the 060 is BIG-step mor modern than the 040. 060 has most features of the Pentium processor.
