Hi!
have a look at links.atari.org
or www.atariuptodate.de
There you can find the neccessary programmes which are:
1.) A programme that CONNECTS you to the internet.
Do you use multitasking?
Then there are: ICONNECT, MINTNET, MAGICNET.
ICONNECT is very simple and it comes along with CAB.
Do you use Single-TOS?
Then there are STIK or STING, both are about the same.
I use Sting by the way.
Stik/Sting/MintNet are Freeware.
2.) A WEB-BROWSER
It is the big disadvantage of Ataris online;
There actually is no good browser.
The most common one is CAB (Crystal Atari Browser).
Speed is OK but its development has stopped.
So it can only read HTML3.2 and doesn't understand Java in any form.
(as well as Flash or other newer things)
I'm using CAB2.5, but the last version was 2.8 which is better because it can handle cookies.
It costs about 50,- Euro and is available at www.application-systems.de or sometimes ebay.
There are still two other browsers;
"Light of Adamas" which does understand Java but most people avoid it due to bugs.
"Highwire" - development has just begun, it's V0.2...we have to wait...
3.) MAIL-CLIENT
MyMail is the most common along with some others as the "Emailer" or "aMail".
MyMail is Freeware and is being heavily under development.
There are some bugs but the programme is steadily being improved.
I use this one. MyMail is Freeware (or was it Shareware...ugh...?!)
4.) ICQ-CLIENT
AtarICQ is shareware but has some problems recently because the ICQ server changed its protocol some months ago.
I don't know if thiseffects aICQ, too.
5.) IRC-CLIENT
AtarIRC is Freeware. That's all I know because it doesn't run on my Falcon.
The programmer of this piece told me, that I'm the only one where it makes such problems...
You may also have a look at:

This is an Atari survey where everybody can see how the Atarists are complaining about the lack of good browsers...
Hope this was a little help for you.
Bye, Alex
