No problem to connect both a 2.5" and a 3.5" drive,
I have this configuration on my Falcon too.

The hard part though, may be finding info on
how to set the jumpers on the drives.

I guess both your drives are set to IDE 0.

The falc will boot from the drive that is set
to IDE 0, and the other drive must be IDE 1.

Swap IDīs and it will boot from the other drive... ;)
