ET4000 isnt that a tseng ... hmm how easy would it be to wire it up ti an STE ??

Yes, Lacescan/Overscan is ST only. STE has the MMU and GLue both in same chip and a cut needs to be made on the DE line. It's impossible. You might want to try an ET4000 ISA adaptor. You can get 1024*768 in 256c. You need NVDI or possibly fVDI. Not sure.
