Alright ok, perhaps abandoned games are not LEGAL in the true sense of the word perhaps, but the fact does remain, that there is over 130 thousand sites ( yes, I have been checking them - no, not all, dont be silly ) that have Freely available software, games, apps and stuff, and the original companies do know about them, but they do allow the software to be distributed this way.
Mostly these are for the PC of course, as that is the way of the PC - older machines, are not supported, and this is also the case with games.
My god, I have downloaded software from many companies own sites, such as epic, ocean, bullfrog, and I am not talking about demos either, I am talking about full-on games.
Yes, they are old games, and unfortunately not Atari or Amiga, but PC yes, even C64 and spectrum games can often be had if you find the links.
