Have you told the BIOS that you have added the extra Drive?
I dont know how the PC3 works with the BIOS, but whe nyou switch on, you need to press a key or keys to get into the BIOS.
This is often DEL or INS or a Function key, and it may tell you on the startup screen?
Also it may need you to chance any jumpers about in one or both of the drives too!? - this is unlikely, so dont worry just yet
