Bison,
while its easy to use a sequencer to output midi sync signals for your equipment, I don't know of any with a "tap" feature that allows you to tap in the tempo. This is desirable, of course, for live performance.
If you don't need it right away, I could adapt MIDI clock software that i wrote to allow the tempo to be tapped in (using the space bar perhaps). Tell me if you could use it. I could send you something this weekend. Just doing my bit to keep atari usefull for todays musicians.
