Anders says it basically all. :-)

MiNT+N.AES+replacement desktop can however be a bit ugly to use if you only have 4 MB.
You can "live" with MultiTOS if you use SpeedUp030 (by Thomas Kuenneth i suppose) wisely - But for a low-memory system, MagiC might be the better choice anyway.
