Hi there,
it should be mentioned that Spin! does only support the CD-ROM, e.g.the reading-data functions.
You won't be able to write on CD-R's in any way.
Installing it can also be quite a lot of work, because it refuses to work properly sometimes for unknown reasons.
Documentation is also not very good.
ExtenDOS on the other hand is expensive (about 50 E or so).
But the support from Roger Burrows is superb; at the moment I have some problems with my CD-R drive and he answered the very next day.
(The problem is not solved yet, but it seems I'm using a not-supported drive which uses some different language or is simply defect.)
Still, ExtenDOS can't write CD-R's, but it supports CD-R-drives in this way that you may be able to purchase CD-Writer Suite: this software can, along with ExtenDOS, write CD-R's.
My advice: ExtenDOS. It's still being supported so you would do something good for the Atari software market...
Bye, Alex
