Hey shalroth, you should try to exchange it under warranty, probably the one you got was from a defective production run. I've got one too and it dont have those problems. I still remember having trouble when I first got my 2600, had 2 that had messed up rf modulators. The 3rd one worked well ever since, I've still got it too.
