Not 100% about this drive, but the Large blue one is for a SCSI adapter like the TOPLINK or ICD Link adapters. The ST is not entirely SCSI Compatible, so these adapters connect from the DMA port ( ACSI ) on the back of the ST, then on to the blue port on the HD.
They are often quite expensive, but also like gold dust.

The DMA In/Out may actually be a direct link to the ACSI/DMA port on the ST so you dont need the adapter?

If so, then I am impressed, but also I am not sure as this would mean that you will be stuck on using older MFM Drives.

Like I said, I dont know... Just something to chew on until someone can tell you the facts.
