He has shipped some boarss to his developers but if the connector on the wrong side was his fault, it would be a very boring job for him to unsolder and resolder them. I assume it was the bus connector, as it has to be fitted to the underside. Only guessing though. But in any way, the 150 boards would have cost at least a few thousand euros I think.
