I am no expert either, but ACCs can't dynamically allocate memory. IIRC you can't mfree() memory allocated from within an ACC.
I also think that ACCs are unable to use the menubar.
And it is also correct that ACCs are not able to do true (preemptive) multitasking, instead they can only do (sort of) cooperative multitasking, similiar to that of Geneva (which is a replacement AES for TOS, making it possible to let normal applications multitask in that way)
If you run Geneva on top of MiNT, you can however achieve preemptive (each running process gets its own timeslice IIRC) multitasking.
So I would not consider TOS to be a multitasking OS. The accessories can however work alongside normal process started by the OS.
But again, I am no expert in this area.
